Hmm let's see, The last time I posted was too long ago.
Halloween
We went to Vegas the weekend before Halloween and decided to be an M&M family for Halloween.
Kendon got the stomach flu on the way home from Vegas. I got it on Halloween. great
Asher spent the weekend with Abby and Grandma! He had fun and probably didn't even notice that mom and dad were gone. I about had a breakdown when we left him there though.
It was a much needed break for Kendon and I.
Thanksgiving
We went to Maryland for Thanksgiving. We had so much fun there, thanks Mom and Dad!

We wWe crammed so much into those 4 days. Kendon had never been there before so we wanted to see as much as we could while we were there. My parents took us to DC and they were such troopers. Talk about a trooper, Asher was so good! He just sat in his stroller and looked around. Except, we weren't around a bathroom when he ate his lunch and that's normally when we change diapers, and we forgot. Poor kid had peed through all of his clothes. Lucky that we were prepared. ha
We went to the Air and Space Smithsonian and I think my dad was having as much fun with the hands on learning as all the little kiddos were :)
We got a picture of the Capitol and the Washington Monument. I was so excited to show Kendon the Reflecting Pool, yeah it GONE. It was one big mud pit. So that was gone, the monument was closed due to the earthquake and the turkey was raw.
Yes, the turkey was raw. My mom gets so excited to host people and she's wants everything to be perfect. She was such a good sport about it though. She had followed all the directions on thawing the turkey but it wasn't thawed at all so we set it out on the counter hoping that it would be ready to cook in a few hours. We thought it was and we stuck it in the oven and again followed all the cooking instructions. While the turkey was cooking warming up, we played a game of Train. A classic in the King household for ALL holidays. It's time to eat! We pull the turkey out and start cutting into it, it had cooked only about 2 inches down, well we just ate what was cooked. We all joked while we ate it about who was going to be the one driving to the hospital. Luckily, we didn't have to find out. My parents did a re-do of Thanksgiving dinner for New Years and it turned out just fine and they didn't do anything different. Go figure.
Asher had sweet potatoes. YUM!
Christmas
I'm always so excited for Christmas because I love giving everyone presents and seeing their faces when they open it. I was especially excited this year because we had little Asher to get presents for. I don't have any pictures loaded on to my computer from Christmas Day, but I have a picture of our tree!
We love going to Temple Square every year to see the lights. I love going even though I moan and groan about walking around in the freezing cold weather, which I forget about once we get there. We bundled Asher up and set out to see the lights. It was so much fun and I can't wait til next Christmas when Asher will be more excited about them.
New Year's Eve
We are old farts. This year we went over to our good friends Nathan and Amy's house. Amy and I both wanted to be in bed by like 10:30. But there was WAY too much excitement happening. haha yeah right. We like to make bbq chicken wings for this particular holiday (and the Superbowl). We brought our own pan, boy I'm glad we did too because we almost didn't, got the chicken in it and stuck in the oven to cook. About 2 minutes in, the pan broke shattered into a million pieces in their stove. Needless to say we went to the store and started all over again. We watched the ball drop and went home and went to bed. Crazy night, huh?!
January
Asher got the flu and gave it to the whole family. I mean, the WHOLE family. My brother and his wife, my mom and dad and me and Kendon. Asher had been throwing up so much that he had gotten a bit dehydrated. We took him to the ER and poor little man had to get an IV. He was so good about it though.
