This Man...

This man is the love of my life.  He does so much for our little family and for me.  I don't know what life would be like without him.  This year has already been rough, an emotional roller coaster to say the least.  He has been my rock through it all and I can't wait for what's to come!

Secret Post By the Father of Asher

HA HA HA I logged in and am now writing a post.  I don't do this very often but I felt like I should today.  So its been a while since Stephanie has posted so I will do the update.  Well the family had Halloween come up and Steph is Mrs. Craft mom and made an awesome costume for Asher.  He was Mike Wazowski from Monsters Inc.
Steph and I were wondering what we were going to be so we went shopping.  Yeah the pictures explain themselves. Asher even got in on trying on costumes.

Yeah Don't tell Steph I put these on here.

I finally settled on being PSY who sings the song Gangnam Style!

We also went and got pumpkins and carved them.  (this blog post is more turning into a photo plop)

That was Halloween.  As you can see we carved Elmo for Asher.  The other designs came out of a book that we got with our carving tools.

The following 2 pictures is when Asher and I went to the Weber State Football game.  The picture below got onto the scoreboard as we were fans of the game.  That is right, I am teaching Asher how to be famous or at least get onto Jumbo trons / Billboards.  He got so tired at the game that he just fell asleep.

NEW TRICKS!!!!  Asher puts his head on the ground and looks through his legs and waves at us and says, "HI".  It's a whole new world.  I also like just putting things on my kid...aka ski goggles and my U of U beanie.

So this picture was really cool.  We got Asher to put his hand over his heart during the National Anthem.  At first he didn't want to but he then realized that everyone else was so he kept it there.  What a stud.

Well I have given my photo Plop and some fun stuff.  I hope that you all like that I (Kendon) will get on here every once in a while and leave some awesome stuff on here.  I love Steph so much and my family.  I don't know where I would be without them.  Ok enough of this sappy stuff...

I'm sorry.

So I realize it's been like a month since I've blogged.  I'm sorry! Life has gotten crazy, it always does this time of year. It didn't help that I didn't have my phone for a week, I felt lost and had nothing to take pictures with.  Yes, we have a camera but let's be real here.  The pictures never get put on the computer.

Here's a little re-cap of what went on.

Grandma came for a visit.  We made Asher's pirate pillowcase and his pouf chair.

We went to the state fair with our friends Alan and Jess.  We had so much fun.  Hubby got a giant turkey leg, A loved it....so did I.  We stuffed our faces with cotton candy and funnel cakes.  A and Hubby went down the giant slide.  A wasn't quite sure of it while going down, but loved it at the end.  And thus ends my memory of that week.  We sold our phones so we could get the iPhone 5.  I just remember thinking for the rest of the week, "oh, I wish I had my phone! That would be such a cute picture."  LAME.

Asher is OBSESSED with Gangnam Style.  If you haven't seen it, don't worry.  Our household has watched it enough for the whole state of Utah.

Picuture Dump

In case you've been wondering what we've been up to.....

A is in desperate need of a hair cut.  I love his bed head in the mornings.

Cousin Beckham and Asher playing with cars

Over Labor Day weekend, we went and visited Grandma & Grandpa Great!
We also visited Grandma Saez and Aunt Abby.
And we saw some good friends, The Hill's.  Asher got to sit on one of their horses.

We forgot Asher's blanket when we went.  Bedtime was rough, but we survived.

On our way home from Vernal, we made a stop at City Creek.  Our original plan was to just get a Godiva shake, (my favorite thing) and that was IT! But husband is too good to me and we got a few fall essentials.

Last weekend we went to Liberty Park with The Price's and played at the splash pad that is there.  Asher loves it! We went to the Greek Festival after that.  It gets bigger and bigger every year.  It was a 2 hour wait in line for food, and with three little ones, that wasn't going to happen.  So we went to Charlie Chow's.  It was great and we ate way too much but it was worth it.

We got a new rug.  It's A's favorite place to walk and dance now.

We ended our week with a walk around our block.

Crafts

So, our life has been filled with lots of friends and gatherings lately.  I've been so tired at night that I don't want to blogs.  Lies. We've been obsessed with Pretty Little Liars.  We have seen a lot of friends and family the last two weeks but we come home, put A to bed and watch PLL.  So THAT'S why I haven't been blogging.  Lame reason, I know. I will be better and not so obsessed with PLL.

I wanted to share some of the things I'm excited about making soon.  Let me tell you what has spurred this crafting binge.  We are getting couches that match.  Not brand new, but they are nice and I am way excited and now that I have couches that match, the rest of my house has to match.

So where do I go to figure out how to make my house match? Pinterest, of course.

I found this way cute pirate pillow case.  I'm going to re-do A's room in pirate loot.  I'm so excited!

I have to have cute pillows for my couches that match, right? Right.  Well, my mom and I went to Pier 1 earlier this week.  And I am drooling over their pillows.  They don't really fit in the budget but and girl can dream, right?  Right.

I love finding little projects to do that don't cost a ton but they are cute enough to ease my crafting need for the moment.  I found this cute little idea on one of the blogs I stalk.  I'm excited. (the magnets)

And last but not least...because we can't afford to get a new table, why not paint ours?  I don't want a new table, really.  I love ours, but it's out-dated. So we are going to up-date it!  And husband promised he would help. :)  Minus the stripes...husband isn't brave enough.

I'm so excited for all the crafty-ness that's going to happen in my house and that my house is finally going to somewhat match.

I'll update tomorrow with a picture dump :)

Babysitting

Our friends, the Price's, haven't gone on a date in almost a year.  Because they used to live in Logan and Greg's parents live there and at the time, his parents were the only people that their little girls were comfortable with.  Well, we've been hanging out and the girls seemed ok with us so we got to babysit them this weekend!  Greg and Pam left so fast I didn't even know they were gone. We had so much fun eating snacks, going down the slides, playing with the ball and watching Madagascar.  I think the kids had fun too ;)

Last night we went to Pace's for dinner and we saw Madagascar 3 at Kaysville theater.  I haven't been there in a long time and I forgot that it's the place to be on FHE night.  Needless to say, we were pretty close the the front.  That's ok though.  We got popcorn and Swedish Fish, once Asher tasted the fish, he wouldn't touch the popcorn.  Little Man knows what he wants! It was so fun and I can't wait for this weekend!

Stickers, ducks & drums

Asher got his toddler bed this week.  He loves it! He has only fallen out twice.  Before Hubby could take the whole crib apart to convert it, A was all over it.  He jumped right in! A loves going to bed, he knows that we read a bed time story, he will hold up a book and say, "boe boe".  Then we say prayers, he folds his arms and says amen at the end.  Then A crawls up into bed.  His favorite part about his bed is his pillow.  He loves that thing.  I'm so excited to start re-decorating his room.  I'm sure Hubby isn't, he blames pinterest.  I do too.

A found the headphones for the piano where I babysit at. He walked around all day with them on.  And of course, he had to hold the cord in his mouth.  No chewing though!

We went to the Real Game.  They always have a band play just in front of the stadium.  These guys were some kind of traditional drum group.  Probably the best group that RSL has ever had.

That's A pointing at the drummers. He loved them! Fist pumping and all.

Asher man found my camera button.  I have alot more of these on my phone :)

We went the Jensen Park with the Price's after Pam cooked a delicious enchilada dinner.
The ducks SWARMED us.  I think I was more afraid of the ducks than A was. He was loving it!

We went to In-N-Out before the game, they gave us stickers.  They are A's favorite thing now.  He loves to pull them off and stick them on his stomach or on me and hubby.
